Student Success

Student Success & CYW Support

At our school, the Student Success Teacher and Child and Youth Worker (CYW) work together to support students in achieving both academic and personal success. Their goal is to help every student reach their full potential by providing individualized support, encouragement, and connection to school resources.

The Student Success Teacher focuses on academic achievement and engagement by helping students develop organization, time management, and study skills, while also assisting with course planning and credit recovery opportunities. The CYW provides social-emotional support, helping students manage stress, build positive relationships, and develop coping strategies to thrive both in and out of the classroom.

Together, they collaborate with teachers, guidance, and families to ensure students feel supported, connected, and confident in their learning journey.

💡 Student Support Opportunities:

  • Transition Support to ensure that students have a smooth transition from elementary school to high school, as well as a purposeful exit strategy upon graduation.
  • Peer Tutoring: Every Wednesday from 3:20–4:30 p.m. in the Library — open to all students looking for academic help or a collaborative study space.
  • The Wolf Den (room 205): A quiet space available throughout the day for students who need a calm environment to focus, catch up on work, or take a mindful break.
  • Credit Rescue and Credit Recovery to support students during and after a course to achieve success where appropriate.

The Student Success (Mr. Kandrack) and CYW (Ms. Tran) team are here to help all students find success — academically, socially, and emotionally — while building a strong sense of belonging within the Wolfpack community.
