- Registrants receive email detailing the application and workshop process for their selected discipline(s): Friday, December 5, 2025
- Subject Specific Google Forms Due: Friday, January 9, 2026
- Subject Specific Workshops: Thursday, January 22, 2026 - Wednesday, January 28, 2026
- Results emailed to families: On or around Monday, January 29, 2026
- Students must accept or decline an offer by end of school day: Friday, January 30, 2026
SELECTION PROCESS:
The selection process for each of the Arts Westmount programs is a comprehensive look at a student in order to determine and project the overall success of that student within these programs over their four-year association with it.
OVERALL CRITERIA:
Students demonstrate leadership and follower capabilities, listening, collaboration, an ability to utilize and synthesize instruction and direction as well as their ability to solve creative problems, make connections, and think outside the box.
INTERVIEW/WORKSHOP CRITERIA:
Students demonstrate their aptitude in taking on creative challenges in their chosen discipline, their maturity and emotional depth and their ability to express their creative ideas.
SUBMITTED MATERIAL CRITERIA:
Students demonstrate their own thinking/creative process and their current level of ability. Students demonstrate their level of authenticity, their connections to the world, and artistic choices.
A NOTE ABOUT SUCCESS CRITERIA:
The selection process success criteria serve as a series of “look-fors” designed to guide students throughout the application process. They represent broad areas of consideration, not detailed requirements. Please note that meeting these success criteria does not guarantee admission, as there is limited space in the Arts program.
