Therapy Dog Visit
We are excited to announce that the St. John Ambulance Therapy Dog Program will be returning on June 15th to help ease pre-exam nerves!
A visit with a Therapy Dog can:
- Calm the nervous system
- Promote physical and emotional health - reduce stress
- Release endorphins (“feel-good hormones”)
- Decrease loneliness
- Help increase social interaction
- Improve mood
- And it’s fun!!
Each dog comes with a trainer, and each dog is tested for suitability (temperament, sociability, ability to follow the handler’s lead, cleanliness, etc.) prior to being accepted for the program.
