Attention Secondary students in Grades 9-12

You are welcome to attend the Level Up! Skilled Trades Career Fair, which is an Ontario-wide multi-day career fair connecting students with the best skilled trades professionals. Students will discover the potential of a career in the skilled trades with hands-on experiences, interactive exhibits, and mentorship from real industry experts and representatives from businesses, associations, post-secondary institutions, and more!

 

ACCELERATED OYAP AND APPRENTICESHIP INFORMATION NIGHT

We would like to extend an invitation to the Accelerated OYAP and Apprenticeship Virtual Information Night. This event is for:

  • Grade 12 students who are planning on entering the Skilled Trades
  • Grade 10 or 11 students who would like more information on this program to better prepare for this pathway
  • Parents/guardians of students in Grades 9-12 who are considering a career in the skilled trades 

This virtual event takes place on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, from 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm. A link to this online session will be sent out via email a few days before the event.

SKILLED TRADES AND TECHNOLOGY CAREER PLANNING INFORMATION NIGHT

Students in Grades 9-11, families, and educators are invited to attend a Skilled Trades and Technology Career Planning Information Night. The goal of this event is to inspire students to take their first step towards a career in industries that are constantly innovating, on the cutting edge of emerging technologies, and making a critical difference in people’s lives. Students will have the opportunity to learn about some of Ontario’s 120+ trades through presentations and information booths. They will hear directly from the YRDSB Pathways team, tradespeople, and local employers about life-changing career opportunities.

This event is taking place on Tuesday, October 20, 2026, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Richmond Green Secondary School (1 William F. Bell Parkway, Richmond Hill, ON L4S 2T9).

Meet the Colleges and Universities - October 17 (11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.) Civic Centre Resource Library

Students considering college or university will have the opportunity to connect directly with representatives from a variety of post-secondary institutions. Attendees can learn about academic programs, admissions requirements, campus life, and the many pathways available after high school. With 18 post-secondary institutions confirmed, this event offers students a valuable chance to ask questions, gather information, and begin planning for their educational future.
