SKILLS ONTARIO - YOUNG WOMEN’S CONFERENCE 

Skills Ontario, which provides opportunities for youth to consider a career in the skilled trades and technologies, has now opened registration to its 27th annual Young Women's Conference!

  • Location: Toronto Congress Center (650 Dixon Rd, Etobicoke, ON M9W 1J1)
  • Dates and Times:
    • Secondary - Tuesday, May 5th beginning at 10:45 am
  • The Secondary Conference will feature an inspiration message from Teri-Anna Libby, and a speaker panel of skilled trades professionals.
  • The conference will feature:
    • Interactive exhibitor booths hosted by female skilled tradespersons/apprentices, partners of Skills Ontario, Colleges, Organizations and other skilled trade and technology related industries. The booths will provide students an opportunity for networking and trying their hand at a variety of hands - on activities
    • NEW – the Industry Corner which will showcase Careers in Aviation. This area will give students a chance to explore an expanded, hands-on space where they can engage with industry demonstrations, equipment, and interactive activities that highlight the many pathways within aviation. Throughout the morning, students can also attend a series of 15-minute Spotlight Sessions, where presenters will share insights into different careers across the aviation sector. It’s a fantastic opportunity for students to gain real-world exposure and spark new career interests.

BFCN - Black Foundation of Community Networks - Scholarship Application Workshop - January 28

BFCN Scholarship Application Workshop

We are happy to announce that we will be offering another BFCN -  Black Foundation of Community Networks - Scholarship Application Workshop in two weeks! Join us online on Wednesday, January 28 from 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM ET.

This workshop is open to all Black students from any school board or institution. Please share this invitation widely and especially with Black youth who are currently in Grade 8 or high school. Access to this information is vital and helps Black students and their families make informed decisions about funding options and their continued educational journeys.
